Winchester Myeloma Support Group

Winchester Myeloma Support Group is an informal, friendly group run by myeloma patients but also supported by the healthcare team on the Nick Jonas Ward at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.

Want to meet other patients with myeloma? If you or a relative or friend has been diagnosed with myeloma, there is a local Support Group for you.

Support Group Overview

Venue Information

Currently meeting online via Zoom or, if requested, in small groups in local cafes/garden centres.

Upcoming Dates

At the moment the group is meeting online via Zoom about every six weeks or so.  This is often on a Tuesday afternoon but we can be flexible and have meetings at other times if that suits people better.

We have also started meeting in small groups of 4/5 people at cafés or garden centres, again wherever is convenient for members.

Whether online or in person, the idea is to exchange ideas and information. People find it helpful to talk and get to know others with myeloma, their friends and family.  We are supported by the clinical team who usually join in the Zoom meetings to answer any questions or concerns and to update us on any treatment developments.  We also work very closely with Myeloma UK.

Please contact the Support Group Leader so she can tell you more about the Group and the date of any forthcoming meetings. She is very happy to be contacted over the phone or by email.
