North Yorkshire Haematology Support Group has been set up for patients, carers and families. The group is based in Northallerton but serves much of North Yorkshire, Teesside and County Durham.
It is an intimate, friendly and supportive group of patients and carers affected by all sorts of blood cancers. Monthly meetings offer a chance to get together and chat in pleasant, informal surroundings and to learn more about how thers are being treated and living well with myeloma, lymphoma, leukaemia, CML, AML and other such conditions.
Meetings are very informal affairs, sharing news and information or asking questions of one another. Occasionally the Group invites expert guest speakers to address the group and answer questions. These are generally Health Care Professionals such as Doctors or Specialist Nurses or from relevant local and national Charities.
You can find further information on this Group on the North Yorkshire Haematology website here.
